Which files and downloads are supported?
Input is a browser-decodable MP3 or WAV, up to 25 MB and 10 minutes, mono or stereo. Output is a 16-bit PCM WAV. Compressed MP3 export, multichannel downmixing, video extraction and microphone recording are not included.
Is trimming lossless?
It is not a lossless compressed-file cut. The browser decodes the source, may resample it to the 48 kHz working rate and encodes the chosen samples as 16-bit PCM WAV. The result can be larger than the original MP3. Original tags and artwork are not carried into the clip.
How do I preview the fades?
Preview selection plays the source section before fades. After creating a WAV clip, use the finished-clip player to hear the actual output, including both fades. Fade lengths must fit inside the selected duration; fade-in and fade-out cannot overlap.
Why might my recording fail?
Some codecs inside WAV are not supported by every browser. Try an up-to-date browser or a standard mono/stereo PCM WAV. Large compressed files can need much more memory after decoding. Shorten the source externally if the size, duration or decoding limit is reached. Nothing is uploaded as a fallback.
