Which region should I choose?
Taiwan characters changes written forms; Taiwan wording also applies phrase substitutions. Hong Kong characters uses a separate regional conversion. For Traditional-to-Simplified text choose generic Traditional, Taiwan wording or Hong Kong according to the source.
Is this translation?
No. OpenCC uses character and phrase dictionaries. It does not translate into another language, understand every sentence or reliably adapt a brand name. Simplified-to-Traditional mapping is not always one-to-one, and a round trip is not guaranteed to restore the original.
Does it edit rich documents?
This is a plain-text converter. Line breaks are retained, but Word, PDF, HTML structure and subtitle timing are not parsed. Extract text first and review it before returning it to a formatted document. HTML pasted here is displayed as text, never executed.
Will text be saved?
