Choose readers and source separately
For Simplified text intended for Taiwan, choose Taiwan characters when you want character-form changes only, or Taiwan wording when regional phrase substitutions are appropriate. Hong Kong characters is a separate choice. In the reverse direction, use the option that matches generic Traditional, Taiwan wording or Hong Kong source text.
Review ambiguous words and names
Some Simplified characters correspond to multiple Traditional forms. Phrase dictionaries help but cannot understand every context. Brand names, people, technical terms and uncommon phrases need editorial review. Conversion is not translation, and converting back may not recreate the original.
Work with plain text first
Paste text or import UTF-8 TXT within 100,000 characters / 400 KB. The result keeps line breaks. For a scan, use OCR first and correct recognition mistakes before conversion; changing character forms cannot repair text that was read incorrectly. Word and PDF files are not accepted here.
Keep the source beside the result
Download the converted TXT under a distinct name. Use text comparison to inspect changed wording, then insert the reviewed copy into your publication. Dictionaries run locally in the browser; the source is not sent to a translation API or kept in cloud history.
