QR codes · Free · On your device

Read the code. Check the destination.

Decode a QR code from a JPG or PNG screenshot locally. Review the raw content and download TXT, without opening unknown links, using a camera or uploading the image.

On your device · Free, no signup. Inputs and outputs stay in this tab’s memory, not in a database or browser storage. Clear or leave to discard the workspace. Your saved downloads remain on your device.

One JPG or PNG · up to 10 MB, 12 megapixels and 6,000 pixels per side. Crop to one complete QR code; ordinary barcodes and binary-only payloads are not supported.

How do I read a QR code on the same device?

Save a screenshot or image containing the QR code, choose that file and select Read QR code locally. The result is plain text. Select it to copy or download a TXT file. No camera access is needed.

Why is my code not readable?

Use a sharp JPG or PNG with one complete QR pattern and the surrounding border. Crop away other codes, reflections and unrelated content using the image editor. Blurred, heavily stylized or damaged codes may not decode. Only QR codes with text content are supported, not every barcode format.

Is a decoded link safe?

Successful decoding does not verify the sender or destination. Inspect the full address before opening it elsewhere; a shortened URL can hide another destination. This reader never automatically follows a link, joins Wi-Fi or executes decoded content.
