Know what static means
A static QR code stores the content directly. SumifyPDF does not add a redirect service, scan counter, account or expiry date. This does not keep the destination website alive: if a page moves or a domain expires, the same code can stop being useful. To change the encoded URL, create a new image and replace the copies you distributed.
Start with the final content
For a website, enter its full https:// or http:// address and check the spelling, path and query string. Use a short, stable destination you control when possible. Avoid secrets in URLs and unnecessary tracking parameters. This generator does not visit, validate the safety of, or certify the destination. Text mode stores literal text; recipients decide how to use it.
Choose PNG for everyday use or SVG for layout
PNG is convenient for screens and ordinary documents. SVG keeps square modules sharp when a print layout is resized. Both exports use black on white, medium error correction and a four-module quiet zone. Preserve that complete white border. Do not stretch the code, crop the pattern, cover modules with a logo or save a blurred screenshot of the preview.
Test at the actual final size
There is no one minimum print size that guarantees every camera, distance and payload will work. More content creates a denser pattern. Print one sample using the final paper, size and placement, then scan it with the intended phones under realistic light and distance. Check the complete destination or text, not just that a camera detects a code.
Read a screenshot without a second device
Save the QR image or take a screenshot and open the local QR reader. Choose one JPG or PNG and inspect the raw decoded content. If multiple codes are present, crop to one complete code first. Reading the content does not open its URL or verify that it is trustworthy. A short URL may redirect somewhere you have not inspected.
Treat Wi-Fi images like passwords
Wi-Fi codes contain the network name and, for protected networks, the password. Anyone holding the image can recover them. Use an appropriate guest network, keep copies out of public channels when access is private, and replace the code if you change the credentials. This generator supports WPA/WPA2 Personal and open networks, not enterprise authentication. Test joining on the intended devices.
Keep copies deliberately
Generation and decoding happen in browser memory without uploading or storing your input. Clear or leave to discard the workspace. That does not erase downloaded images, copied text, printouts or files shared with someone else. Keep only the copies you intend to distribute and recheck them when the destination changes.
