Choose what belongs in the export
Start with visible slides only. Enable speaker notes when you intend to export the notes body and ordinary notes text boxes. Enable hidden slides only after reviewing whether they contain private draft material. Included hidden slides are labelled with their original slide numbers. Date, slide-number and slide-image placeholders on notes pages are not exported as speaker notes.
Follow the actual presentation order
PPTX is an archive with slide relationships. A reordered presentation can refer to slide3.xml before slide1.xml, so sorting filenames is not a valid reading order. This tool follows the actual slide list. Within each slide, it follows stored shape order, which may differ from the visual order of columns or grouped objects.
Review what plain text cannot represent
Text boxes and simple table cells are supported. Tables are tab-separated, and multiple paragraphs inside one cell use / separators. There is no OCR for screenshots and no extraction from charts, SmartArt, master layouts or comments. A page containing only an image may have no supported text even when it visibly contains words. Use OCR for a suitable image or scanned PDF instead.
Preserve context outside the transcript
The TXT file has source slide separators and explicit empty-page or empty-notes messages. It does not preserve animation timing, automatic bullet numbers, media or layout. Compare the transcript with the deck before reusing statements that depend on a figure, label or visual relationship. Keep the PPTX as the authoritative presentation.
Stay within local processing limits
Use a PPTX up to 10 MB and 100 slides, subject to archive-entry and expanded-size limits. Embedded objects, encrypted or macro-enabled files and ambiguous relationships are rejected. The output is temporary until downloaded; clearing or leaving discards it. No presentation, note or transcript is sent to a document-conversion server.
