Does it meet passport or application requirements?

Not automatically. Generic 25 × 35 mm and 35 × 49 mm presets are starting points, not country-specific certification. Check the receiving organization’s current dimensions, head position, background, expression and file-size requirements yourself.

What happens to my portrait?

The model and runtime download from this site when you start. Inference runs in a disposable browser worker; your image is not sent to a server. The working cutout is capped at a 2,048-pixel edge. Neither input nor result is saved to an account or database.

How good is the background removal?

MODNet is designed for human portraits, not product photos. Use a well-lit, single-person image with visible hair and shoulders. Fine hair, glasses, similar background colors and translucent clothing may need another photo or manual editing. Review every edge before using the result.

How do I print the right size?

The A4 PDF embeds the chosen physical dimensions and repeats complete photos with 5 mm gaps. Print at Actual size / 100%, disable Fit to page, and measure a test copy. PNG and JPG are sized for 300 dpi by pixel count; their browser-generated DPI metadata may differ.
