Verify a file. Find identical copies.
Calculate SHA-256 for a batch of files, compare a trusted checksum and group duplicate content. Download CSV or JSON reports without uploading any files.
Free · No login · No upload. Inputs and results stay in this tab’s memory. Clear or leave to discard them; keep your own downloaded copies.
What counts as a duplicate?
The tool groups files with equal byte size and SHA-256, regardless of their names. It is a practical exact-content check, not perceptual image matching. Two visually identical photos with different metadata can produce different hashes. Nothing is deleted or renamed automatically.
Can I verify a download?
Choose one file and paste the 64 hexadecimal characters published by a trusted source. A match checks that the bytes correspond to that hash. It does not prove a file is harmless, and a hash copied from the same untrusted source as the file is not an independent identity check.
What is included in reports?
File name, byte count, SHA-256 and duplicate group, in the selection order. CSV protects formula-like file names; JSON retains exact names. Reports may reveal private file names even though they contain no file contents. Share them with appropriate care.
How large can a batch be?
Up to 50 files, 100 MB per file and 500 MB total. The worker reads one-megabyte chunks instead of loading the whole batch into memory. There is a 30-second processing limit; a slower device may need fewer or smaller files. Clear terminates work and discards the report.
