A smaller scan, with a readable result.

Reduce scanned PDF size with adjustable resolution and JPEG quality. Compare original and compressed pages, check actual byte savings and download locally.

Free · No login · No upload. Inputs and results stay in this tab’s memory. Clear or leave to discard them; keep your own downloaded copies.

Up to 20 MB / 30 pages. Best for scanned documents. Protected PDFs, forms, existing signatures, links, annotations, attachments, layers and tagged PDFs are rejected. Keep your original.

Is this lossless PDF compression?

No. It renders every page into a JPEG and builds a new image-only PDF. Searchable text, bookmarks and document metadata are not retained. The tool requires explicit acknowledgement before processing. Keep the original and use another method when text selection or accessibility matters.

Will every PDF get smaller?

No. Already-optimized scans and mostly vector or text documents can become larger. The result shows actual before/after bytes and clearly says when there is no size improvement. A fixed target such as 200 KB is not guaranteed.

Can it compress signed or interactive PDFs?

Not in this version. Protected files, forms, existing signatures, links, annotations, attachments, actions, tags and layers are rejected. Conversion can invalidate or remove those features, so the tool asks for a flat unsigned copy instead of silently changing them.

How should I check quality?

Compare any page side by side in the result, then open the downloaded PDF in a reader and inspect small print, numbers and diagrams. Current limits are 20 MB / 30 pages, 10 megapixels per rendered page and 80 megapixels total. Use fewer pages or lower resolution when the limit is reached.
